Expert Biotechnologist – Lonza

The Lonza is looking for an interested candidate for the position of Expert Biotechnologist to join our Manufacturing department, based in Slough, UK. You will be part of a manufacturing team ensuring that biopharmaceutical products are manufactured to a high standard of quality within a GMP regulated environment. The Manufacturing Department is responsible for the production of therapeutic proteins using mammalian cell culture techniques at mid to large scale followed by purification using various techniques e.g. chromatography and ultrafiltration. The role requires expert technical knowledge of Fermentation and/or Purification equipment/systems and a willingness to form collaborative working relationships with other areas.

Position Requirements:

  • Must possess and be able to demonstrate a practical aptitude and a meticulous approach to documentation
  • Attention to detail is an essential skill for this role
  • Experience of mammalian cell culture or purification is essential to this role
  • Have an interest in science
  • Be educated to A level standard or equivalent level of experience
