The NeuroCure Cluster of Excellence invites applications for its PhD program starting in Fall 2016. With over 50 internationally recognized research groups, NeuroCure offers outstanding interdisciplinary training and research opportunities for national and interantional scientists from a wide range of backgrounds.

You need to:
– Create a profile
– Once you have a profile, you can start filling in the required information and to upload the required documents (see “what do I need to supply”)

After a first review of the applications by an independent committee of local scientist, selected candidates will be invited for a Skype or telephone interview. After this selection step short listed candidates will be invited to visit the Cluster of Excellence NeuroCure for a final assessment. During this stay, candidates will have the opportunity to meet faculty members of their choice and discuss potential projects with prospective supervisors. Shortly after this, the final decision will be announced by the selection committee
Once a candidate has been accepted for a scholarship, he/ she and his/ her supervisor have to propose a research project, which should be presented in front of the examination and admissions commission of the International Graduate Program Medical Neurosciences. Following this reviewing process, the student will enrol as a PhD candidate at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Depending on previous degrees, the thesis work will be awarded with the title of PhD or MD/PhD.
