The Indian Institute of Oil Palm Research is looking for an interested candidate for the position of Research Associate for project entitled “ICAR-NAIF funded Project – Intellectual Property , Management and Transfer/Commercialization of Agricultural Technology”.
- Ph. D in Agriculture/Horticulture/ Life Sciences(or) Post Graduation in Agriculture/Horticulture with four years of terminous Bachelors’ Degree with at least with the two years research experience project. as evidenced from fellowship/ associateshlp/trelrunq/other engagements (or) Post graduation in life sciences (3 years Bachelors degree and 2 years Masters degree) with NET qualification (Examination conducted by various Central Government Departments/ Agencies like CSIR-UGC, ICMR, I ICAR, DAE, DST, DBT, GATEetc. are considered as National Eligibility Test (NET) as mentioned in OM SR/S9/Z- I 09/2012 of DST dated 21.10.2014 with atleast two years research experience as evidenced from fellowship/ associateship/training/other engagements.

Research on Oil Palm under irrigated conditions is practically a new start and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research established the National Research Centre for Oil Palm ( later renamed as Directorate of Oil Palm Research) at Pedavegi in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on February 19,1995. In November 2014, the institute was upgraded as Indian Institute of Oil Palm Research (IIOPR) to cater to oil palm research requirements across the country. IIOPR serves as a centre for conducting and coordinating research on all aspects of oil palm conservation, improvement, production, protection, post-harvest technology and transfer of technology. This institute has a research centre at Palode near Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
