The Autolus Limited is seeking bright, enthusiastic Research Scientist to join an Immunobiology team committed to helping to develop CAR-T-cell drug candidates for the treatment of a number of cancers.

Position Requirements:

  • PhD educated in Biology/Immunology or related discipline
  • Familiarity with a range of immunological cell-based techniques
  • A good understanding of cell biology and immunology
  • Understanding of and familiarity with regulatory guidance governing cell-based and biopharmaceutical development is desirable
  • Prior directly relevant academic or industry immunological experience
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible, self-motivated and focus on team outcomes
  • Experience of working in a busy laboratory environment is desirable, although full training will be given

Responsibilities:

  • Develop functional immune-based assays to support CAR T-cell drug candidate selection
  • Provide key studies support project progression
  • Work seamlessly with other scientific groups in the company
  • Author reports and regulatory documentation
  • Assist in technology transfer of Clinical Assays
  • Work with external service providers
  • Select and purchase appropriate laboratory equipment
  • Work with the Intellectual Property team to file process-based IP
