Senior Research Fellow – ICAR

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is looking for an interested candidate for the position of Senior Research Fellow for project on “Consortium Research Platform on Borers on Network mode on coconut red palm weevil”.

Position Requirements:

  • PG degree in Life Sciences (3+2 stream) with NET qualification from CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR or M.Sc (Agriculture) in Agricultural Biochemistry/Agriculture Biotechnology or PG in professional courses in Life Sciences (4+2 stream) or PhD in Life Sciences/Agriculture Entomology/Agriculture Biochemistry/Agriculture Biotechnology. Two years of research experience in the relevant field
  • Experience in insect rearing and molecular detection work
  • 18-35 years for men and 18-40 years for women as on the date of interview (Upper age limit relaxable to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules)

They should bring with them original certificates in proof of education qualifications, age, experience etc. Those who qualify in written test will only be permitted to attend the interview. Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) was established in 1970 as one of the agricultural research institutes in the National Agricultural Research System (NARS) under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The Institute had the mandate to undertake research on coconut, arecanut, cocoa, cashew, oil palm and spices at the time of establishment.
